Hi, I’m Candice Hammit—co-owner of Elixir x DV8 and a hairstylist who’s been in love with this industry for over 30 years. From the very beginning, hair has been my art form, my passion, and my way of connecting with people on a deeper level.

Throughout my career, I’ve specialized in precision cutting and color, with advanced training in European techniques that continue to shape the way I approach hair design. I’m a certified color educator and cutting specialist, and I have a deep love for razor cuts and short hair—there’s something so empowering about helping someone discover a bold new look that fits who they are today.

As much as I love staying on top of trends and pushing my skills forward, I believe the heart of great hairdressing is connection. Whether I’m behind the chair with a guest or teaching a class, my goal is always the same: to make people feel seen, celebrated, and confident.

I’m also incredibly passionate about mentoring the next generation of stylists. I see it as both a responsibility and a joy to pass down what I’ve learned—not just the techniques, but the values, creativity, and work ethic that build a lasting and meaningful career in this industry.

At Elixir x DV8, I’ve found the perfect space to bring all of this together: high-level artistry, ongoing education, deep relationships, and a salon culture that’s built on joy, growth, and exceptional service. I’m proud of what we’re building here—and I’d love to share it with you.

When I’m not in the salon, you can usually find me soaking up the sun by the pool, spending time with my two pups, Oreo and Shiner, or enjoying time at church. Balance is important to me, and I truly believe that a joyful life outside of work only enhances the creativity I bring to my craft.
