I started with Elixir x DV8 beginning of August '26. I went to cosmetology school at Collectiv Academy in Fort Worth, TX from December-August. My previous jobs include working front desk or retail jobs for different cosmetology school than I went to and that is what really got me thinking into doing hair, alongside my mom inspiring me to follow in her footsteps as a hairstylist. Awards I won in school were salutatorian for second highest GPA in the graduating class. I come from Arlington, Tennessee outside of Memphis, TN where I was born and raised. I decided to become a hairstylist because I wanted to find a passion to where I could do what I love while gaining real friendships and communication with my clients to where they could feel comfortable and respected when sitting in my chair. Being a hairstylist goes far past just doing hair, it is being the clients listener, encourager, mentor sometimes, and maybe just what they need to start their day or end their day after a hard one. We are all human and deserve to feel as though we matter, we are valued, and that we feel beautiful on the inside just as much as the outside. My best professional moment was while in school I had a sweet lady who was sobbing over her day, she was a new mom freshly breastfeeding and tried doing her hair on her own and it just wasn't what she envisioned as she was preparing for a job interview. She was embarrassed and sad and so I was able to deliver an amazing color correction on her and a fresh cut that was a perfect refresh for her to take some time for herself and leave feeling refreshed. My speciality is definitely highlighting and lived in color. My hobbies include going to church, having bible study, drinking coffee, listening to country music, spending time with my husband, family and friends, being outdoors, and doing all things hair related. I live by Proverbs 3:5-6 as I tell myself daily to trust the Lord with all my heart and not lean on my understanding but to trust that He will make all of my paths straight. I can't wait to meet you!
