Hey guys! My name is Avery Allen and I have been an apprentice at Elixir x dv8 since July 2025. I went to cosmetology school at Paul Mitchell in Dallas where I learned all things hair and won an award for up styling. During school I worked as a hostess and in retail, so I am happy to finally have my feet planted in one place with such sweet people! Outside of the salon I love spending time with family and friends, playing piano, or water coloring. I love Fall and binging rom coms and am definitely a late 90s - early 2000s lover. I have moved fourteen times but all in the DFW area– I am forever a Texas girl. Growing up I was always the friend doing everyone’s hair and makeovers because I loved the feeling of making someone else feel beautiful and confident in the way they looked. During my freshman year of high school, I found out that I could make doing hair my career and never looked back! I am so looking forward to all the highlights, cuts, and extensions I will be providing for future guests! My goal is to be a comforting place that anyone can come to and feel welcome and loved. I know from experience getting your hair done is scary- I once had my highlights done by a friend in school and unfortunately, I left orange and choppy. But it was the stylist afterward that helped me fix everything and make me feel beautiful again that gained my confidence in hair stylists and made me want to be the one that could help you fix everything and make those tears vanish! I strive to do everything to the glory of God and if there’s only one thing you learn about me, I hope it’s this: I love the Lord and hair is my passion so I cannot wait to love you by making you feel important and beautiful always!
